A little important message from OFSTED to us all

Parental involvement is still key

• Working in partnership with parents and/or carers in central to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

• Settings should use a range of strategies to develop strong and respectful relationships with their families taking into account individual needs and circumstances.

• Ask parents and carers about their child’s interests, to find out what they’re curious about and share information with them to help you gain further insights.

• Involving parents in their children’s learning leads to improved educational outcomes for children in the long term.
